What iS Unacademy Icons ?
Unacademy Icons is a platform built to provide a structured curriculum taught by industry icons. Unacademy Icons offers courses from different fields such as sports, arts, business and leadership, among others, and curated lessons from experts — all with a single subscription.
The courses offer a wide range of interactive and engaging features such as info-graphics and animations, quizzes and other curriculum to enhance the learning experience.
CRICKET WITH SACHIN
Cricket with Sachin is the first segment of Unacademy Icons with world-renowned cricketer, Sachin. In this course he taught high-quality education in cricket and reach anyone interested to learn the lovely game across the length and breadth of India and beyond that as well.
Icons was a goal with other existing goals like IIT-JEE, UPSC in the main Unacademy app. A user can choose for Icons goal and subscribe for it in the main app.
Home Feed
The home feed was developed for a lot of courses and was structured for a different types of sections. The whole home page was fully controlled from backend. The feed page had the capabilities of handling horizontal, vertical and grid cards of courses. Not just these but home page can handle rating cards, features cards and a lot more. Even the space between each section was dynamically handled from the backend. It was very similar like home page of amazon, hotstar and netflix.
COURSE PAGE
The whole course was divided into multiple lessons. In course page the user can explore more about the course like course overview, course highlights, trailer and lessons.
If a user likes the course he can purchase the subscription of the whole goal on unacademy app.
COURSE PLayer
The course player worked on HLS live streaming for the content. The player had all controls like play, pause, seek, language selection and subtitles.
For language selection and subtitles we created different tracks in the HLS stream and change the track on the selection of the user. Also there were interactive live quiz in-between the lesson for the student.
